Helpdesk Support Agent

Job Description

The candidate should be able to communicate with People’s Prepaid’s customers via phone and email, resolving customers’ queries regarding our software products and services. Troubleshooting support of technical issues on our terminals in the field to be done via phone. The candidate should also be able to offer simplistic installation instructions for our various software products and be able to perform installations via desktop screen sharing software.

The candidate will be required to answer questions about our products and sending relevant documents with information to clients.

Duties

  • Support via phone
  • Support via emails
  • Resolve queries on company’s products
  • Installation of our software via remote desktop software
  • Assist clients via phone with installations
  • Resolve issues (local system and over remote desktop)
  • Escalate issues to second line support
  • Create/complete tickets on a ticket system
  • Other tasks connected to support and sales
  • Handle sales queries from non customers
  • Perform troubleshooting on terminals in the field over the phone

Requirements

  • Matric certificate
  • Good phone communication skills and etiquette
  • MS Office skills
  • Advanced Computer skills
  • Use of websites
  • English and Afrikaans (Read/Write/Speak)
  • Additional languages will be a bonus

Helpful

  • The ideal candidate would be able to handle customer queries without escalating tension.
  • They should be able to work on their own and follow processes.
  • A good understanding of computers, their components and how they work will be helpful.

Work Hours

The schedule rotates between Week 1 and Week 2 during the month.

Week 1                                                                                 Week 2                

Monday to Friday:           13:00 – 21:00                      Monday to Friday:           08:00 – 17:00
Saturday:                             08:00 – 17:00                      Saturday:                             Off duty
Sunday:                                08:00 – 13:00                      Sunday:                                Off duty
